Tom enjoys his split personality when talking about his career in marketing…or is it advertising…or is it communications? He loves to be part a team wearing any one of those hats, and shines equally well when wearing them all! From concept to ideation, rough drafts, media purchases, photography, laying out ads, pitching stories to the media, and even coordinating publicity events on the ground! Tom has been described as a “one-man marketing department.”
In his off time (What is “off time?!?”), Tom likes checking out modern art museums and un-curated events like the St. Paul Art Crawl. He appreciates the aesthetic of the modern and mid-century design movements, and the juxtaposition of classic furniture and sleek Nordic design. While Tom’s DVR is usually filled with travel shows, Star Treks, and Top Gears, he can be easily goaded into admitting that his guilty pleasure is House Hunters International. He can be often be found found listening to the Retro Cocktail Hour or MPR while tinkering in his garage. A self-described “font geek,” Tom loves old hand-lettered signs and enjoys critiquing poor typesetting in public signage. He likes puns, and is infamous for wearing his favorite color on the last day of the work week, only to go around asking people, “Orange you glad it’s Friday?”
Tom lives and works just South of the Minneapolis border in Richfield, MN. He shares his life with a very tolerant and patient wife of 5 years whom he adores, the cutest 2-year old son in the world, and a 3-year old poodle-terrier-beagle mix that was fostered and adopted through Second Hand Hounds.
Since you’ve read this far, Tom invites you to connect with him on Linkedin, check out his photography on Instagram, and to stop by his homepage at tomaszmajewski.com to see if he’s finally started that blog he’s been meaning to do for about 10 years.
…Occasionally, Tom also enjoys referring to himself in the third person.
